Rather than coming in once a week to receive an allergy shot–which in a sense vaccinates you against your allergies–you receive a carefully-packaged 2-3 month supply of allergy drops, with instructions, to take home. The drops are simply placed under the tongue once a day, held for two minutes and then swallowed.
Sublingual allergy drops have been used by physicians in Europe for decades, and the drops are quickly gaining popularity in the United States. Our clinic has been providing sublingual allergy drops since 2006; our patients get results comparable to allergy shots, and they’re much less expensive.
It’s like allergy shots, without the shots!
